Welcome to an Everyday Luxury Vacation Rental Property, located at Bear Path Drive, Park Rapids.

This is a waterfront home with dock, including 2 kayaks, movie theater, 400+ game arcade, and much more. Featured on the Discovery Channel this is the ultimate 7000+ sq ft luxury log home includes chefs kitchen, water views, soaring ceilings, spa-like bathroom, boat dock, and much more! 

The home is not appropriate for more than 8 adults. If you have more than 8 adults,  you must also rent the guest house. While the house could sleep up to 13 people ie. 3-4 families of 3-4 people, with maximum is 6-8 total adults. The vehicle limit of the home is 4. If you rent the guest house you could have up to 4 additional vehicles, no more than 8 total. 

This home sleeps up to 11 in beds, plus 2 additional people with the futon for 13 and up to 3 more with air mattresses. Please notify us at least 1 week prior to arrival if an air mattress is needed. See bed details below;

There is another guest house on the property above the aircraft hanger/garage with 2 additional bedrooms and a loft. The guest house is available and can be rented separately.

This is a large estate, there are two separate BBQ areas and fire pit areas, however, the dock area is shared between the house and the guest house. I've stayed in the house and the guest house and the house with other people staying in one or the other and I didn't even know they were there. If both the house and the guest house loft are rented there's a lock off door on one wing of the home at the end of a large hallway next to a sleeping loft that can be unlocked to connect the guest house loft and the main house. 

Pets are not allowed without written approval and must be provided at least 48 hours prior to arrival. If written approval is not obtained and you come with a pet you are subject to a $1000 fine and you will be made to leave with no refund. Approval is at the sole discretion of the owner and pet fees apply. No CATS Allowed

Wood can be pre-ordered for $6/bundle if purchased at least 3 days in advance or purchased on site for $8/bundle. Most guests that have fires use at least 5 bundles, if you pre-order 5 bundles and need additional bundles additional bundles will only be $6/bundle.

We offer additional Pontoon Rental. We also hold a $500 damage Deposit per rental on the Pontoon. The rates are available below;

In addition to the stated cancellation policy, any credit/debit card processing fees will be deducted from the cancellation refund if a credit/debit card is used, generally around 3%.

1). Dock. How far from house?

About 40 feet

2) Heartland trail. How far from house?

The Heartland Trail is about 2 miles from the house. 

The Heartland State Trail was one of the first rail-to-trail projects in the country. It is a 49 mile multiple-use trail between Park Rapids and Cass Lake. The Heartland State Trail also connects with the Paul Bunyan State Trail system and other regional trail systems.

To connect from the Heartland Trail entrance closest to the house to the Paul Bunyan trail its about 23 miles. 


3) Can you swim in the River?

The River is clean and clear. However, the area around the dock is a bit Marshy. When my kids and I want to swim at this home we take out the kayaks, there's a sandy beach park a short kayak ride away and there are a number of nice sandy areas on the lake for swimming. Please make sure to wear life jackets and that anyone that cannot swim is properly monitored. Swim at your own risk. 


4) Parking?

We allow up to 2 vehicles at the guest house and up to 3 vehicles at the main house. The home has a large circular driveway, please make sure not to block the driveway. 

There is room to park RV's or trailers, however, you must get permission, and you must not block the driveway.

6) How far is town?

One of the best parts of this home is you will feel like you are in the wilderness yet, you are only about 2 miles from beautiful Park Rapids Minnesota. Downtown Park Rapids is a picturesque lake town complete with great restaurants, coffee shops, movie theatres, candy stores, and bars. 

Absolutely no smoking. Smoking fines start at $500

If you smoke fine is $500, if smoking bothers other guests you will be responsible for any compensation to other guests.


CANCELLATION POLICY AND PROCEDURES

Our cancellation policy is a 100% refund for cancelations at least 90 days in advance. 50% refund for cancellations at least 60 days in advance. If the guest cancels less than 60 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded. If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded. Cleaning fee refund only for cancellations within 60 days to arrival.

Our goal is to keep our prices as competitive as possible, in order to keep them competitive it's important that we avoid the losses that come from cancellations.

Owners of these properties depend on the income and last-minute cancellations result in lost revenue through vacancy and lower prices.

For those that don't like the risk that comes with cancellation policies, we strongly recommend you look into travel insurance.

If you didn't purchase the travel insurance offered, you will likely not get any refund.

To ask for an exception to our policy you must first cancel your reservation by sending us an email, or a text message. Exceptions are up to individual owners and are very rare. Your best chance is to ask for a credit to be used for a booking for the same property.

The credit can to be used within the window you cancelled. Ie. If you cancel 3 days before your stay and the owners payout is $4500, you didn't purchase travel insurance you may ask for a credit to be used to reserve the same property no more than 3 days before the drag you want to use the credit for.

Example request.

"I had to cancel because my kids are sick. I didn't purchase the recommended travel insurance. My stay is 3 days away. I'm requesting a credit for the owner payout amount to be used to reserve the same property 3 days before our stay. I.e, we want to stay August 23rd so I will make a request on August 20th  if the unit is still available. 

Thanks."

We will share this with the owner and encourage them to allow us to agree. 
 
No exceptions will be made if the process is not followed.
